The project includes the development of a data interface to Twitter/X, which retrieves all tweets from your own home timeline and prepares them for a targeted, time-saving overview. The solution enables tweets to be grouped according to individual accounts (handles) in order to see all posts from an account in context, and offers a depth resolution of referenced tweets in order to better understand conversations and connections. The collected and structured data is sent by e-mail on a daily basis, which saves a considerable amount of time, especially for users who use Twitter/X as a news source.
Functionalities in detail
- Query your own home timeline:
- The interface regularly accesses your own home timeline and retrieves all tweets from accounts that the user follows. This provides a consolidated overview of the latest posts and updates.
- Grouping of tweets by account (handle):
- All tweets are grouped by account (handle) so that the posts of an account are displayed together. This makes it easier to understand the individual posts in the context of the respective account.
- In-depth resolution of referenced tweets:
- Referenced tweets and conversations are resolved and also displayed so that the context and progress of discussions and conversations can be fully understood.
- This function is particularly helpful for quick orientation in ongoing discussions and enables the user to better understand the context.
- Data preparation and daily e-mail dispatch:
- The prepared data is summarized in a clear, structured e-mail and sent to the user on a daily basis. The e-mail provides an easy-to-understand overview that allows the user to stay up-to-date quickly without having to be directly active on Twitter/X.
- Time-saving news overview for Twitter/X users:
- For users who use Twitter/X as their primary news source, the daily summary is a significant time-saver. It offers a bundled, curated display of all relevant content and replaces time-consuming scrolling through the timeline.
